Socks for Happy People
We are so inpired by fellow UCLAN students Socks For Happy People.
A social enterprise business they are led very much by their social values. If you think they are just about socks then you have them all wrong. Their mission is simple,
‘Socks for Happy People exists to inspire a deeper understanding of genuine happiness throughout the world, and be a shining example of how a business with the well-being of humanity and nature at its core can be inherently sustainable and abundantly profitable.’
They have partnerd up with the Christine Noble Children’s Foundation in Mongolia who support street children living in extreme conditions. For every pair of socks purchased they donate another pair to the charity.
Aimed at the high end market their socks retail at approx £15 a pair and are made from organic cotton and manufatured in ethical factories based in India.
‘Socks for Happy People is about buying socks, giving love and being happy who would of thought that the simple act of buying great socks you can have all three’.
We love the thinking behind the company and their mindset is very much similar to dodo’s principles and ethics, carry on the good work boys!
