Studiomama!! what a gal!
We stumbled across a London based design company Studiomama founded by Nina Tolstrup (an industrial design graduate from the famous ‘Les Ateliers’ school), who are heavily involved in sustainable design. They use recycled materials and have come up with an innovative way of supplying furniture which involves DIY at home! Most of Studiomamas furniture are available as a download in which is the instructions and a list if materials in which to create your piece. Prices range from £10-£50.
Pieces include the Outdoor Kitchen, Diy Playhouse, lights and stools. They also have a shopper bag ‘Make me a Shopper’ which can be made into a toy after you have finished with the bag itself. Studiomama exhibited at the London Design Festival last month.
Studiomama is also involved in a project called TEN-Plan a team of ten influential designers who are concerned with sustainable design.
